MY beautiful Blanco was adopted and now has a new home. He did not like sharing affections with my smaller pets, so I contacted Rescue Me and received so many requests for him. The lady who got him really had the best location and reasons for acquiring a Samoyed. She had raised as many as 35 Sammy puppies and found homes for all of them. Several years later, when she missed these big fluffy dogs, she contacted Rescue Me and we spoke on the phone. Her yard was fenced, a total of 10 acres comprised her property, and when they first met, Blanco was interested in everything, including her bathtub! I was impressed with her knowledge and reassured that my 10 year old would have a wonderful life. She had grandchildren living nearby as well as their horse in an adjoining pasture. Happily, I was able to combine the visit with another visit with my sisters-in-law, about an hour drive away. I was concerned about their getting along and planned to bring the dog back with us, if it didn't work out, when we left a few days later. So many of the folks interested in adopting did not want to describe their location and other details. I am happy I was able to be choosy, and be able to pick the perfect family. I'm so thankful for this service. |
